“I am not afraid” is my mantra for today.
Sometimes you need to give yourself a little pep talk and remind yourself, out loud that you can do whatever you’re scared of.
This blog was just for me originally, to help with my healing, but now it’s become more than that. It’s made me realise what I want to do, and what I love. I love to write. When I do, it just feels right.
So I started to share my stories. I then wrote an article about self harm for Something Different On Their Shoulders. It was an incredibly hard article to write and submit, but the hardest bit has been sharing it and putting it out there, for all to read.
But I have, and I’ve had some lovely responses. And that’s exactly why I wrote it, because it is hard and it shouldn’t be. Today I’ve been telling myself, “I am not afraid”. I am not ashamed and I believe in my writing.
